The other very versatile set is Work of Art, and I used that as the background stamp for the tree. The colours are: Crumb Cake, Soft Sky and Pear Pizzazz. The tree is stamped with Early Espresso

Lovely as a Tree, encore
Here is an other card created using Lovely as A Tree stamp set. This is one of my favourite sets. It has so many usages. You can create fall cards, birthday cards, Xmas cards and summer cards with it.

Full crafting room reno going on
I know, excuses.... this card was actually created before I started my full on renovations.
I used the "lovely as a tree' stamp set and to create that multi tone look, you take your sponge daubers and ink your stamp using them. At the end (before stamping the image) you need to "huff'" on the stamp to moisten all the inks. Remember. the colour you add last, is going to be most visible.
The embellishment leafs are done with Bird builder punch using Pear Pizzazz, Cajun Craze and Crushed Curry card stock. And the sentiment is from the new FREE hostess special reward stamp set.
So what is this craft room reno, you ask??
I'm relocating my craft room from the small bedroom to our guest bedroom (so my current craft room will become our guest bed room. A lot of work and moving stuff, plus I need to patch all the walls in my old craft room once the book cases and IKEA picture ledges are removed. I see some serious painting and stencilling happening....
Any yes, you will get some pictures, once I get some parts set up ;-)

Lovely as a tree
This is one of those stamp sets, that work through out the year. You can make the trees green, yellow or orange or just bare. And it makes great - and super easy - masculine cards too!
This is cased from a fellow demonstrator, who's name I forgot to write down and guess how many cards there are when you search "lovely as a tree". So, the idea is not mine, but it was such a great idea, that I wanted to replicate it for my Father's Day card.
I know, Father's Day isn't until June! but guess what .... In Finland we celebrate Father's Day mid November, so I'm making my Father's Day card right after Halloween and before Christmas (gives a nice break from those 'theme' cards) :-)
And the greeting is not Stampin'Up! since they don't make any in Finnish ;-)
Although I have been thinking of ordering some custome stamps (the ones you can use for return address), but have not yet come up with any great sayings.
Now I know I said this was easy. Well I thought it was until I started making those white pieces. See I stamped the image first and then started punching them out. Had to make sure I punch them all at the same hight and same distance apart. Afterwards I though I should have punched them out blank and then lined them in a row and stamp the image using stamp-a-majic. Well... too late :-)
But I managed to make it work (lost only couple of tree tops in the process).
And hey, don't forget the 25% off of 25 stamp sets!!! The sale ends Monday!!!
