Peachy Keen - Retro Fresh Designer Journaling Tags

I just love these ready made kits - I just don't use them often enough. Well this summer I'm challenging myself as I brought this kit with me and I'm determined to use them in my cards :-)

The photoframe is made with On Film framelits using Very Vanilla Core'dinations paper (has a bit more texture than regular card stock).

The banners are made with Banner punch from Retro Fresh designer Series paper. I mounted the punched banners on Baked Brown Sugar cardstock and handcut them out.

And as mentionned, the image is from Retro Fresh designer journaling tags set.

I stamped the background with Baked Brown Sugar ink and Hardwood background stamp.

Sweet Fresh Prints banners

The Sweet is from a Photopolymer Stamp set, which I stamped with Versamark and heat embossed with golden embossing powder. Then I coloured the letters with Baked Brown Sugar, Strawberry Slush, Coastal Cabana, So Saffron and Wild Wasabi markers.

the pattern paper is from the Fresh Prints Designer Series paper pack (Spring Occasions Catalogue) and the card base is Coastal Cabana Card Stock. The Ruffle Stretch Trim is also Coastal Cabana.

then I punched several banners from the Fresh Prints paper. Remember, this banner punch was available during the Sale-a-bration, but it will also be available in the new Annual Catalogue, that comes out at the beginning of June!!!

In the mean time, if you didn't get the punch during the SAB, you can easily cut out these banners (in various sizes and widths, with your scissors too)

Gold, gold and more gold

So, gold is VERY in right now, has been for a while. You might have noticed even the summer jewelry is all golden.

I wanted to use some gold embossing and the golden Watercolor Wonder washi tape from the Spring Occasions catalogue on this. The base card stock is gold brushed card stock and the layer is Whisper White.

I used the Gold Seqiun trim pieces as embellishments at the top of the card.. The embossed text is done with Travel Journal builder wheel using Versamark ink and gold embossing powder.

Embossed lace doilies

I did the embossing test already back home, but never got to make a card with it.

The embossing was very simple:
-rub your doily with versamark
-pour your embossing powder on (I used early espresso)

Embossing makes the doily thicker and gives it a nice shine

For the banners, I used the 'Hip Hip Hooray' kit's sticker sheets. The banners are very long, so I cut the banner cuts on both ends and then cut I them in half.

The brad glasses are non-stampin'Up! but the stamped image (with 3 glasses) is from the Retro Fresh Rotary stamp

Hope you enjoyed this, and sorry for any typos, I actually wrote this post on a bus :-)

Cards with no stamps!

Okay, I needed 2 quick birthday cards and my crafting space was not yet done when I made these.
So, I used some "Retro Fresh" embellishments and card bases from "HipHipHooray" card kit.

Just some glue and here we are
super duper simple (I did write "happy birthday" on one of them :-)

Temporary crafting space

Okay, I FINALLY got my stuff unpacked and got my crafting space all organized.
Haven't crated anything at this station yet :-)

So I have limited resources (unlimited in my head!!!), but I'm determined to work with the supplies I have. Please note that some of the items might be from the clearance rack, but you can still enjoy the layouts - right??
