Curvy keepsakes pumpkin treats

I made these treat boxes for Tom to take to his work. The paper is retired a more mustard stamped with Tangelo Tango chevron and the face is stamped with Early Espresso.

The curly ribbon is always Artichoke seam binding rolled on round peg and heated with heat gun.
The label is with Old Olive and the shape is one of the curly keepsakes box labels

Nutcracker and Santa with curvy keepsakes box

I just love this stamp set with the nut cracker and Santa.

As I was creating samples for the dolls and miniatures show, I thought of making some Santa boxes. I had seen others create them, but only with the Santos's belt. Then I thought of the stamp set.... And added the head and mustache too. Then I just had to crate the nut cracker too. Although the nutcracker reminds me of a police officer with the buttons :-)

The hats have been coloured with blendabilities markers and the mustaches are cut out from silve glimmer paper

Curvy Keepsakes Witch

Okay, this was not as easy as it seems and what I thought it would be :-)
Sure, the box itself was super quick but then I started with the hat.... I think it would look better if you'd do a cone shaped hat... This one has a circle as the rim and a triangle as the top. I think I will do another one and try the cone (although making cones is NOT my cup of tea, I have such a hard time making the edge straight....)

And yes, I know the face is smudged.... This is because I FORGOT to stamp the face BEFORE I assembled the box... (And I had stapled the box closed and attached the hat). Try stamping on a curvy surface....

So a new try is in order.... Maybe over the weekend, as right now I'm putting together a magnetic frame for my framelits.... My fingers are SO sticky.... I went and used spray adhesive.... Oh my... I hope it turns out fine... Pics to come....

Have a great weekend - oh and if you are heading to the Women's Show at E&Y centre, stop by at my booth at the Doll Show (entrance $2 to benefit the food bank), it's in the same building on Saturday from 10am until 4pm!

Halloween cards

Here are couple of pictures of the halloween cards from last card class

I just love the ghost with the mustache :)

This embossing folder (from the holiday catalogue) works perfectly with the pumpkins, don't you agree? And the thick bakers twine... LOVE it!!!

Both the ghost and the pumpkins are from Fall Fest set and the matching framelits Fun Fall.
Have a wonderful fall!!!

Love these little houses!!!

I just squeaked when I saw this stamp set and matching framelits in the Holiday Catalogue!

I just love these little houses. Funny thing, I have almost matching house patterns for cross stitching too.

Instead of making this a holiday card, I used more neutral colours (found some small scrap pieces of So Saffron, Marina Mist and Crumb Cake). I used two pieces of Crumb Cake card stock for the ground. It does not show that well on this photo, but there is a bit of separation with those two layers to give more dimension on the card. And the houses have been popped up with pop-dots. The base colour on the card is Soft Sky.

Cannot wait to post some pictures of my Halloween houses...

stay tuned!
