Dress Up

So when I knew I'd be doing this Dolls and Miniatures show (you can see it really is taking all my brain power!!), I needed this dress form card base.
I have some great ideas on how to use it, but as my first try, I stuck to the basics.
Since I had not used it before! and was not sure! how exactly things work, I decided to use an old Designer Series Paper as the wallpaper (in case I would have to scratch the piece and start all over again)

But it turned out fine.

The dress and hat are done with 'coastal cabana' card stock and the dress is embellished with coastal cabana ruffle trim. I also spritzed the dress with shimmer spritz

Disney princesses

Okay, I'm SO out of my element with these projects!!!

I'm attending a "Doll and Miniature" show on October 5th at Ernst & Young Centre in Ottawa. And the displays have to be related to the show. So, I have been working my brain to get inspiration to various display projects.

I saw a fellow demonstrator do "Disney Princesses" cards, and I figured "well if she can do them, so can I". Well, I'm not super great with punch art, so I worked with my dress up framelits and some punches.

So far I have 3 dresses made, still have to work them into cards :)
Snow White
This one is with Pasific Point, Daffodil Delight, Soft Sky and Real Red

Alice in Wonderland
This one is with Pasific Point and Whisper White
Cinderella

This one is with Pasific Point, Whisper White and Soft Sky. I had such a hard time with the "puffs". Finally took my Bird Builder Punch, and used the wings of the bird as the puffs - not exactly what I was looking for, but worked okay. Then I used the white chalk marker to give some dimention to the dress.

Cards from previous classes

It has been so busy the past few weeks that I just didn't have time to do any posts.

But I wanted to show some results from the previous card classes I had. The first was Birthday Cards, and I had couple of images on a previous post. Here are some more cards from that class

The first one uses "Zoo Babies" stamp set and the new chevron punch.

The colours on this card are: Pool Party, Crushed Curry, Old Olive and Chocholate Chip.

The second card is using "Tape It" stamp set. The colours are: Crushed Curry, Gumball Green and Bermuda Bay.

I just loved the colour combination on this card.

Then the other class I had was fall themed. One card I posted earlier and here is a second one (unfortunately I already mailed the 2 others - thought I had pictures taken, but no :-)

This one I cased from LeAnne Pugliese. I loved the use of washi tape, Hemp Twine and the stamp set. It's fall, but not your typical fall colours. Just loved it!

NEW Class schedule now available!!!

Check at the top of my blog "Classes 2013-2014" for the new class schedule!

I cannot wait to show all the new things Stampin'Up! has to offer!!!!
And couple of really neat new card designs too :)

Here are couple of cards for the birthday class
One is using the popular starburst design and the other is cased from Sandy Mathis. I just love everything about this card: the colours, the mosaic madness stamp set and the layout. Her design was so perfect that I just had to case it as is.

The other two will be a masculine and floral design

The washi tapes are from the Holiday Catalogue.
