Easy peasy pumpkins

So, it is that time of the year, when pumpkins start appearing everywhere. They are already in front of all the grocery stores and I cannot wait to carve mine!!! you know, we don't carve pumpkins in Finland, well we don't really even celebrate Halloween! In Finland kids go around the towns, door to door, during easter time, handing out decorated willow branches and dressed up as easter witches (well now a days  boys tend to wear more halloween type costumes, but when I was a kid, even boys dressed up as witches with skirts and all :-)

Now these are the easiest pumpkins you'll ever 'carve'
I just used the Work of Art stamp set. the pumpkins are stamped with Pumpkin Pie and the stem is with Mossy Meadow (just coloured part of the tall straight stamp and stamped id on top of the pumpkin.

Pumpkin Pie anyone???

Lovely as a Tree, encore

Here is an other card created using Lovely as A Tree stamp set. This is one of my favourite sets. It has so many usages. You can create fall cards, birthday cards, Xmas cards and summer cards with it.

The other very versatile set is Work of Art, and I used that as the background stamp for the tree. The colours are: Crumb Cake, Soft Sky and Pear Pizzazz. The tree is stamped with Early Espresso

Full crafting room reno going on

I know, excuses.... this card was actually created before I started my full on renovations.

I used the "lovely as a tree' stamp set and to create that multi tone look, you take your sponge daubers and ink your stamp using them. At the end (before stamping the image) you need to "huff'" on the stamp to moisten all the inks. Remember. the colour you add last, is going to be most visible.

The embellishment leafs are done with Bird builder punch using Pear Pizzazz, Cajun Craze and Crushed Curry card stock. And the sentiment is from the new FREE hostess special reward stamp set.

So what is this craft room reno, you ask??
I'm relocating my craft room from the small bedroom to our guest bedroom (so my current craft room will become our guest bed room. A lot of work and moving stuff, plus I need to patch all the walls in my old craft room once the book cases and IKEA picture ledges are removed. I see some serious painting and stencilling happening....
Any yes, you will get some pictures, once I get some parts set up ;-)

I stamped!!!!!

Well it's about time!!

I was finally able to clear enough space on my desk that I got to use my stamping supplies.

I have been waiting to use this stamp set for SO long.
I ordered it already in May, hoping that my husband could mail it to me, when I was In Finland. Nope, it was on back order.

So FINALLY when I got back home, I wanted to use this set as quickly as possible, but since there was not even an inch of free space on my desk, I had to put my dreams aside

But today I was able to clear the space!! I have now sorted all the retired stamps, punches, ribbons and embossing folders/ framelits and was able to move them out of the room.

The base is Sahara Sand, the larger white piece is Watercolour paper, which was brushed with Soft Sky and Sahara Sand inks and the top piece is Naturals White card stock stamped with same inks using Work of Art stamp set (funny how the stamped Sahara Sand is SO much darker... And it is from the same ink pad!). The birds from Wetlands stamp set are stamped with Early Espresso.

LOVE IT!!!!!

Cannot wait to get more cards made. I should also place my Holiday Catalogue order, but first I have to sort through my papers.

And remember, the 'BUY ONE - GET ONE FREE*'event is next Saturday, September 13th from 11am until 2pm!!!

I will be posting some pictures of the items available by early next week.

*you get the retired products (some gently used) for FREE, when you place an order from the current Stampin'Up! Catalogues for the same value (before taxes and shipping)
